Back To Main Page

Nannie Doss Of Tulsa, Oklahoma, seemed like a very happy, friendly woman. On the outside she was a great neighbour, wife and mother. But on the inside she was really an evil, cold-blooded murderer. Nannie’s first victims were her own children. Nannie’s first husband, George Frazer came home one day in 1920 to find the children dead in the kitchen. Nannie claimed that the children had died from accidental poisoning, But Frazer did not believe her.

Frazer left Nannie. After that several relatives of Nannie continued to die of what appeared the be stomach problems. However, many years later Nannie’s fifth husband, Samuel Doss, suddenly died. An autopsy was ordered, and a massive dosage of arsenic was found in the man’s body.

The other bodies were exhumed and examined. It was revealed that Nannie’s children, her first four husbands, her mother, two sisters and a nephew all had arsenic in their system. Piled under evidence, Nannie eventually confessed and was sent to prison in 1964. A year later she died of leukaemia.
